This granola does not last long in my house.
Honestly I think if my husband and my daughter could only every have one food again this would be it.
Every time we make it for friends or family they want the recipe so here it is!
Ingredients:
1 cup of Organic quick oats
½ cup raw unsalted sunflower seeds
½ cup raw unsalted pumpkin seeds
½ cup raw unsalted cashews
½ cup of raw unsalted almonds (Crunched or whole)
½ cup walnuts
½ cup coconut
¼ cup sesame seeds
¼ cup dried cranberries
¼ cup raisons or chopped dates (optional)
¼ cup dried blueberries (Optional)
¾ cup of honey
¼ cup of organic butter (or less)
½ tsp Cinnamon
In a bowl combine oats, nuts, seeds and coconut. Bake on a cookie sheet for 10-12 minutes at 350.
Mix all the dried fruit and cinnamon in a bowl, combine with toasted oats, seeds etc…
Melt butter and mix in a smaller bowl with the honey. Combine the honey and butter mixture with the granola until all coated. Place the granola on parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 3-5 minutes.
Store in an air tight container.
This is great with yoghurt, milk or soy milk. It is also great as a snack on its own. This is a chewier granola as you don’t bake the wet ingredients in. I love it!
Healthy Tips:
- Use real coconut that has not been processed with all kinds of sugar. You can find concnut flakes in any health store and it is not expensive.
- Mix barley flakes, rye flakes etc… with your oats to add a variety of nutrients.
